Guroo is a project designed to raise the awareness of Kangaroo Island’s ability to grow premium quality fruit. It eliminates the variable of the winemaker by using a maker who excels in their field; who is a guru in their craft.
The Guroo winemaker will make their wine from the same site for three years. This will enable them to learn about that particular vineyard, learn to deal with the challenges of the vintage and understand the climatic conditions of the region.
A new Guroo winemaker will join each year so that there will be three winemakers in any one year.
The inaugural Guroo is Charlotte Hardy of Charlotte Dalton Wines.
